Philip is a graduate in criminology and film studies and currently has around 15 years experience of teaching basic skills in literacy to adults.

Philip really enjoys the social aspect of teaching, as well as being able to help students progress with their learning. He is realistic and understands that there will always be ups and downs within a person’s development and that this applies to everybody, regardless of experience and ability. He hopes, though, to make this process more manageable and enjoyable through the way he tutors.

Outside of his working life, he has a passion for restoring and developing his home from home, in France. He enjoys the countryside over there and has an interest in observing and understanding wildlife. In his free time, he plays basketball and listens to music.
