Lil’s academic background is in the arts – specifically music and drama.  Though the acting world wasn’t really for her, she loved directing and the magic that comes from collaboration with others.  She discovered the transformative effect of combining creativity and education soon after leaving university and based her career on this.

Lil has been teaching and mentoring for the past 18 years, and alongside this has developed her own projects to work with families and communities championing inclusion above integration.  She is excited to work within organisations such as D&A to continue moving our society forward, and to fight against complacency.

To relax and regroup Lil loves to be with her family; her young son, husband and two furry cats.  She practices yoga – hot yoga ideally! – and feels most at peace next to the sea.
