Testimonial: Lynn Wilson, National Association of Disability Practitioners
Operations Manager
D&A is a social enterprise founded by disabled and neurodiverse learners in order to assist other disabled and neurodiverse learners through our education systems and work environments. They provide a multitude of excellent resources which are freely available and can be shared. These resources are always created and complied from the lived experiences of other disabled and neurodiverse people.
My position is that of Operations Manager for NADP which is the professional association for people who work with disabled students in Further and Higher Education. As a disabled person myself who has worked with disabled students and staff for over 20 years, I am always recommending the D&A resources.and they are much loved by students and the FE/HE staff that support them.
Over the years, D&A directors and trainers have volunteered their time to speak at our NADP conferences to spread the word about all the resources they offer free of charge and spent many hours freely supporting our members. University and college staff are very busy people and find it very difficult to spend hours researching the best resources to support students. Having the D&A team to assist them select resources to support particular disabilities and neurodiversity is an invaluable service.
The phrase ‘nothing about us, without us’ could have been written for this social enterprise; they are passionate about what they do and they offer so much of their time, free of charge, to support disabled people both in person and in developing this invaluable resource bank.
