Cassidy works in the bookings team in Brighton, answering your calls and emails. They’re a masters student who has benefitted from DSA support throughout their study – so they know how important it is to get things running smoothly! It took Cassidy seven years, two universities, and three cities to get their undergraduate degree, and it was through excellent mentoring support that they managed to succeed. The journey from a fail in 2011 to a first in 2018 has given them a strong belief that DSA support is worth a shot even when it feels like there’s no chance of continuing your study.
In the last few years, they’ve focussed their studies on sex education and radical political landscapes, currently trying to merge the two with their final project on the Zapatistas. Outside of work and uni, they can usually be found at an organising meeting, making music with their silly queer electronica band, and secretly feeding the seagulls.
