Services Coordination Officer
Cassidy works in the bookings team in Brighton, answering your calls and emails. They’re a masters student who has benefitted from DSA support throughout their study – so they know how important it is to get things running smoothly! It took Cassidy seven years, two universities, and three cities to get their undergraduate degree, and it was through excellent mentoring support that they managed to succeed. The journey from a fail in 2011 to a first in 2018 has given them a strong belief that DSA support is worth a shot even when it feels like there’s no chance of continuing your study.
As well as working for D&A, they’re a trained sex educator and currently writing their thesis on the potential for a sex education that has intersectionality and transformative justice at its heart. In their free time they make quilts, attend activist meetings, and occasionally perform in drag.
