Gloria has been a specialist mentor for 12 years and works with a range of support needs such as autism spectrum, anxiety and depression, PTSD, bipolar and schizophrenia, CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) and MS (Multiple sclerosis). She has degrees in English with African and Caribbean Studies, and Creative Writing.
She is also a qualified counsellor with over 20 years’ experience working in Psychosynthesis counselling which combines Western Psychotherapy with Eastern spiritual philosophies. She enjoys dividing her working life between the mentoring and counselling roles. She finds sharing the journey of growth, exploration, and increased confidence that the student undergoes, to be the most rewarding aspect of the mentoring profession.
In her spare time, she enjoys dance fitness, world cinema, social history, literary fiction, and theatre.
