Study Skills Tutor (SpLD)
Since completing her PGCE 12 years ago, Holly has worked with learners in compulsory and further education as well as adult learners. Holly has worked across a range of roles in care and education but has chosen to specialise in study skills most recently. The varied teaching, support and assessment experience she has gained has helped her to develop key skills for supporting others to achieve their potential.
Holly has recently completed a Level 5 Diploma in Teaching Learners with Dyslexia and Specific Learning Difficulties and a Postgraduate Award of Proficiency in Assessment for Access Arrangements. Holly plans to go on to achieve her Assessor Practicing Certificate which will enable her to further diversify the support she is able to offer to enable others to achieve their goals.
The use of assistive technology has become integral to Holly’s support of others and in her own studies. She would summarise her approach to supporting the education of others as holistic and creative; and takes pride in her ability to offer advice and guidance in a friendly and supportive way.
In her spare time, Holly enjoys running and yoga, as well as reading and spending time with her family.
