Kathryn Evans
Assistive Technology Trainer
I have been involved in training and education for the past 30 years, I hold QTS and have taught in secondary schools for around 15 years, mainly ICT & business studies. I am working towards a Masters in Online & Distance Learning.
I’m a people person and I connect with people in a way that makes them feel safe and encourages them to reach their potential. I believe that education should be accessible to all no matter what their circumstances. I tailor all of my training to the individual to best suit their needs and learning style.
I have a special interest in ADHD having seen my own son struggle and helping him to reach his potential when it was difficult. I am also awaiting a formal diagnosis for myself. I suffer from arthritis and have a lot of experience in dealing with pain and medication issues when studying and working.
In my spare time, I am an active member of Rotary and I enjoy fundraising and running community events. I volunteer as a “Wastebuster” for Love Essex and am often out spreading the word about recycling, composting and eco issues. I also mentor a teenager through a local charity. On Saturday mornings I can often be found either volunteering or limping around the local Parkrun (fastest person with a walking stick!)
