Lucy Shearman

Lucy is an artist and art psychotherapist who loves to create. They studied Illustration at the Arts University Bournemouth, as there were drawn to illustrating ideas for all to access. Lucy then went on to study a Masters degree in Art Psychotherapy at Goldsmiths University. The have worked with individuals with neurodiversity needs for fifteen years and it is something Lucy is especially drawn to.

Lucy is especially passionate about working for D&A, as they have personal experience of studying with a physical illness as well as having neurodiverse needs. Lucy’s first experience of university wasn’t a positive one and they understand how difficult it can be to access support. Their second experience, however, was a great one. Lucy would like to be able to provide support to help those get the most out of their university experience, as they know how painful it is when you are not supported in your learning needs.

In Lucy’s personal life they exhibit work as an artist and feel empowered by creating! Lucy also loves to cook, travel and swim as much as possible.
