Mimi Makina

Specialist Mentor

I am an Occupational Therapist, currently undertaking my Counselling diploma. I have worked across Health and Social Care and have a variety of experience working with people of all ages.

Over the last year, I moved into Higher Education and found a passion for mentoring. Working in collaboration with students in a safe and supportive way enables the tools for skills to be built for independence. My aim is to support students to authentically grow, gain knowledge whilst maintaining their wellbeing at the core.

Outside of mentoring, I am passionate about accessibility of mental health care for all who identify as a minority. I am further interested in holistic health and wellness and enjoy writing, yoga and meditation.
