Shannon joined D&A in September 2023, as a Digital Accessibility Apprentice within the Trainings and Innovations team. Having spent her younger years being a Young Carer, an opportunity to work in accessibility has been a wonderful way to progress on her experiences. She also spent some time studying Social Sciences Foundation at Sussex University, providing her with an in-depth understanding of intersectionality and its importance. Shannon has been passionate about diversity, inclusion and equality for many years and is keen to apply this passion within her role at D&A.

Born and bred in Brighton, Shannon considers herself a Brightonian at heart, and during her time off she can be found hiking and exploring the Isles with her dog. Let her know your favourite walking spots, she is always looking for new places to explore!
