We have been working with D&A for many years now and they have historically provided assistive technology (AT) training, study skills and mentoring for our students as well as staff training. Last academic year we contracted D&A  to provide support during exam periods. By having a member of the D&A team on campus meant that we had the expertise to ensure our machines had the correct AT installed and updated, ready for the students to use and troubleshoot problems incurred with the assistive technology on exam computers there and then.

As D&A has a team of trainers who are supporting students with assistive technology on a daily basis and are end-users of the technology themselves, we have found that students who have worked with D&A trainers have taken up and engaged more with their technology. This approach has led to students feeling confident to use the technology in their assessments. Goldsmiths have always valued D&A’s approach and are pleased with the services they provide our students.
